Situated on the Redfern’s farm, nestled in picturesque countryside on the edge of the National Forest and the Peak District, these luxury four-star log cabins are furnished to an exceptionally high standard and each offer private, heated hot tubs.
Oaklands Country Lodges comprise of three beautifully styled and smartly furnished timber lodges which enable guests to enjoy a truly relaxing holiday experience. Surrounded by one acre of peaceful, landscaped grounds with a scenic pond and plenty of wildlife, there are fine country views from these Peak District holiday cottages’ individual verandas and hot tubs, offering the perfect self-catering holiday accommodation whether it’s for a mini-break, a romantic getaway or a longer holiday.
Within easy reach of a wealth of visitor attractions such as Chatsworth House, Alton Towers, Uttoxeter Racecourse and Tutbury Castle, there are also plentiful walks, cycling routes and other outdoor pursuit opportunities that are easily accessible throughout Derbyshire as well as in Staffordshire, Cheshire, Nottinghamshire and Leicestershire.
Oaklands Country Lodges are graded Four Star and Four-Star Gold and Waterside Lodge offers disabled holiday facilities to a Level 2 standard. Hideaway Lodge can offer you a dog – and other pet – friendly holiday and large groups can be accommodated. If all three lodges are booked, up to 18 people can enjoy a Peak District holiday together.

Oaklands Lodges offers a superb central location for visitors wishing to visit a wonderfully diverse range of attractions and outdoor activities across Derbyshire, Staffordshire, Leicestershire, Nottinghamshire and Cheshire.
Visiting Dovedale (the gateway to the Peak District), Tutbury Castle and the National Museum of Childhood at the National Trust’s Sudbury Hall are all extremely popular, and only a few miles away. In addition, other favourite’s, all situated within a ten miles radius, include the National Trust’s Kedleston Hall, the historic market towns of Ashbourne and Belper and the thrilling theme park, Alton Towers.
The bustling market town Bakewell (of delicious pudding fame) and the magnificent stately homes of Chatsworth House, Shugborough Hall and Haddon Hall are all within 20 miles of Oaklands Country Lodges, and great days out are easily accessible at Drayton Manor, Waterworld and Gulliver’s Kingdom.
If you’re keen to enjoy our exceptional British countryside, golf and riding are available within two miles and fishing is also enjoyed locally. There are plenty of walking routes, cycle tracks, canals and rivers in easy reach should you be keen to spend more time outdoors as part of your short break or holiday.
