Oaklands Country Lodges offer a break from the hustle and bustle with their setting on the Redfern family’s working farm close to the National Forest and the world-famous rugged vistas of the Peak District. The tranquil grounds, keep your eye out for wildlife on the pond, and admire the lovely country views from your cottage’s veranda.

Good quality disabled holiday accommodation can be hard to find, but at Oaklands we have given careful thought and consideration to providing easy access and excellent facilities for guests with limited mobility or it may be that you just find steps a little hard going. We also welcome guests with autism and learning difficulties who will find Oaklands a peaceful haven to stay.

Each cabin has been given a four-star and four-star Gold rating due to the high standard off the finish. Waterside lodge offers disabled holiday facilities achieving NAS Mobility Level 2 standard, with extra grab rails in the bathroom in Hideaway and Meadow view. All the lodges have ramped access and a walk-in wet room which are wheel chair accessible.

At the end of the day, you can relax under the stars whatever the weather in your private, heated hot tub. A log burner keeps things cosy in the winter, while the barbeque is perfect for mild evenings in the summer months.

Claire and Daniel bought their Derbyshire farm more than 25 years ago, with her painstaking attention to detail, Claire has lovingly created the three timber luxury holiday lodges so that guests can enjoy the lovely rural setting as much as the she and her family do.
